Saying Yes (in a world full of "no")...

Tis that season -- (bah, humbugs fill the air)...

Reading that a growing number of Americans can't afford FiFi anymore -- (while I go out searching to add one baby Kitten to my own family) --

in a sense, like that "Yes Man," movie (where the rubber-faced comedian Jim Carey changes his life by agreeing to everything) -- critics said a loud "no," while moviegoers went out and said yes (by giving the all-important numbers at the box office)...

Hard-pressed ordinary folks are struggling, having to say no a lot. It's a part of my daily life. But, we're always ready to lose a part of ourselves in another world (of smiles...and that cheesey hope-card).

With the new year approaching I am one of those embracing it --(like a lost friend...hopeful for the future).

Like a dawn of something fresh and new -- (cue the string violins).
